As CEO of ImplementHIT, Dr. Jimenez helps hospitals and large physician practices optimize their use of the Allscripts EHR.

Dr. Jimenez graduated from the Dartmouth/Brown Medical Program, continued onto general surgery at Emory, and completed an Educational Leadership Fellowship at the USC Keck School of Medicine. Dr. Jimenez is currently a PhD researcher at Capella University and his dissertation (on track for completion in 2010) focuses on effectively training physicians to achieve meaningful use of their EHR. Dr. Jimenez also supports his community as Chairman of the Studentsofmedicine.com.

Dan Gebremedhin, M.D.

Daniel Gebremedhin, MD is one of the new-breed of physician entrepreneurs on the cutting edge interface of Medical Informatics and Online Education. He serves as President of the Health Care Software firm, Implement HIT. He is a staff physician at the Massachusetts General Hospital, and has a faculty appointment as Instructor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. He splits his time between clinical activities and Harvard Business School, where he is completing his MBA with a focus on Online Medical Education.

Within Students of Medicine, he is the founder of the Step One Method preparatory program. This innovative program has helped thousands of Medical Students prepare for the USMLE Step 1 Medical Board examination. He formerly spent four years as an MCAT Instructor for the Princeton Review. He also has a special interest in developing health care infrastructure in the developing world, and has served as a consultant for the Clinton Foundation in Ethiopia. He is a sought after public speaker and travels regularly across the country giving instructional and motivational seminars on topics ranging from Medical Exam preparation to challenges facing the Health Care Industry.

He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the Massachusetts General Hospital. As a Woodruff Scholar, he graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. He completed his undergraduate work at the University of California, San Diego, graduating with Honors. He hails from San Diego, and currently resides in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Rita Wyrostek

Rita is an accomplished operational and organizational development professional with over 20 years of experience as manager, educator, consultant and entrepreneur. Rita began her career in the human relations industry working as trainer, consultant, and executive coach. Her expertise spans from strategic planning, redesign, change management, and professional development to managing processes and new product development areas. She has a training background in both corporate and academic positions.

Gary DeJarnett

Director of IT, Gary DeJarnett

After graduating from Texas Tech University with a BBA in Management Information Systems, Gary was employed by the university for 16 years as a programmer and programmer/analyst. This time spent learning from other programmers who had decades of experience in the computer industry was an invaluable way to begin an IT career. Gary had the opportunity to design and develop solutions in several languages from mainframe CICS/DB2 systems, to pc-based applications using Microsoft Access/VBA. In his final years at TTU he developed expertise in Flash Actionscript, writing web-based Flash applications to perform tasks such as allowing users to access the mainframe database through innovative interfaces. Over the years he worked with nearly every team in the application programming area including Student Records, Payroll, Personnel, Financial Aid, and Housing.
